So the bike is only accessible to 6 ft plus riders. Ideally 6’2” because he was on his tiptoes
Not at all, I know 5'6 guys and a chick that's 5'4 ride it. Just takes a bit get used to
Two years ago i bought a 2009 Britale 989r! It makes me feel special every time i twist the throttle!
ktm has more torque
Yup.
ktm accelate better
Actually no, the Ducati is better at putting it's power down. The torque the ktm has is a bit much to accelerate hard with.
MV any day
interesting for me to watch because I own both of these bikes amongst us. I have five Ducati various models, and two MV Augusta, brutales. One 800 cc in red and one 1090 cc in silver red and black. The four cylinder 1090 cc model beats the ass off the 800 cc three cylinder which I’m going to sell because I’d rather listen to a swarm of wasps in my ears, then that manifold despite how beautiful it looks. It sounds absolutely horrible and it would be a sin to remove the original artist designed exhaust pipes to put aftermarket pipes on because they’ll never look as beautiful and that’s like pissing on the Mona Lisa. as to the streetfighter, I can say I own a Ducati Café racer, a Nightshift scrambler, two Ducati monsters, Diavel 1260 on the way, and the 848 street fighter. And the street fighter is currently the most comfortable bike of all along with the MV Augusta 1090. Those are my two favorite bikes. I’ve got some other bikes as well, such as a Harley sportster 1200, a Benelli TRK502x, Royal Enfield scram 411, 650 Diablo custom gt continental cafe racer designed by K-Speed custom Thailand, and a few other items. But most of my collection tend to be Italian bikes. The four-cylinder MV Augusta and the Ducati Street fighter are two completely different rides. One of them is friendly and comfortable, and the other one is very naughty and tiresome. One of them you can spend a few hours having fun on, the other one will leave you with an adrenaline overdose after half an hour doing 30 mph at 12,000 RPM trying to get past the bus in front of you. that is the MV Augusta 800. Which isn’t in this video and there’s a three cylinder version like the dragsters they make. And they seriously warn anybody except millennials, perhaps, against them. They look really beautiful, but they sound so horrible and they are so tiring to ride, and impossible to do anything with, but race all the time. all Off The The Time Meaning, maximum one hour, because you cannot drive the 800 cc model of the MV Augusta for longer than that. unless you want something to show off on for for an hour as a second bike once in a while, I would say get the street fighter because you’ll drive that to work and you’ll take it on the track as well if you like that kind of thing. And you’ll definitely leave anything you want behind on the motorway as well. And you will be comfortable all of the way. It’s one of the most surprising bikes I’ve ever bought. The 1090 MV Augusta is also perhaps the most amazing bike I’ve ever bought, but it’s extremely powerful and I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody except extremely experienced riders. Whereas, the Ducati Street fighter, is very friendly even to people with only a few years under their belt, driving big bikes. The Ducati Street fighter is very compliant. The MV Augusta rides you. You don’t ride it… it rides you
So the 848 streetfighter and this v4s are very different machines.
Augusta, great look
what size allen key for the bolts?
You asked that already, go look it up.
what size Allen key fits those bolts? is it a special Ducati one?
Not special at all, I can't remember off the top of my head but I think they're just metric.
Seems like they could design a better heat shield to help out. Beautiful bike though.
My thoughts exactly!
Great comparison, envious of you fam
I love listening to newbies whine about the dry clutch and how you have to feather the throttle/clutch. I raced an AMA Road Race season in '75 including the Daytona 200 on a TZ350 (D) and first gear was incredibly high and the engine had almost no torque/HP at low RPM's...to say you had to "feather" the clutch when leaving the pits or at start time was a real understatement. I've ridden a V4R and it is a complete no brainer launching with the dry clutch.
That's great, my experience differs from yours and coming from the wet clutch from the previous Panigale to this one was a change.
Was your first time putting that bike on track ??
First time riding the bike, first time having it out on track... not my bike either 😅
@@oneonlyxram Wow what a gift ... Now i see why you seemed a bit easy on the gas. I have a 1299 base (some decent upgrades). I went from Novice to A group no crashes 🤠😵💫
@cnealmartin haha yea that was actually a gift for my birthday! The owner hooked me up, I was going to buy it before I decided to get the v4r. I've actually ridden that and his 1199 SL. I had a 1299 anniversario #62 or 500! Still doesn't compare to that SL though😍
Great video, I've been wanting one since I got my pikes peak. Does it at least have a low fuel light?
Haha yes it has a low fuel light!
Thx for the awesome review ! Can’t wait for my first V4 & Aprilia
You'll love it man!
They have some many training courses for that but the sad part. Only a few take the courses.
I totally agree with you on the gas gauge and cruise control….my 23 S1KRR has it and frankly @ $45k it’s truly a minimum the Italian engineers can do for there customer. It might be an Italian thing because my 22 aprilia RSV4 doesn’t have it either.
My 2019 rsv4 1100 factory had it!!
Great info and impressions that I’d otherwise not have as I’m not talking with a lot of R owners, but I am interested in the comparison between S and SP2, R. Cheers
Honestly the S and SP2 only differ on the carbon "goodies" like rims and winglets and stock dry clutch. The R is very different from both in many ways from the motor (998cc vs 1103cc) titanium internals, manual suspension, etc.
as soon as ducati stopped making bikes with the pipe frames they made sure id never buy one again.
Why is that? They still do make them with a those frames, just in other models.
Yes I have such a bike , it's just a gem , these guages Analogue special ,I can't imagine life without Ducatis And Carlton Football Club go Duc , GO BLUES RARARA
And one V4 R can fetch you 2 normal V4 S ☠️
So true😂
Have you seen the new 2024 Brutale Essen? Wow.
Sure have, so is the new serie oro
I tell you what, if Ducati's engineers were smart enough to at least add a cruise control and heated grips, I would immediately turn in my s1000rr and get the V4R ! I hope Ducati reps are reading these messages by the 'normal' street rider(s) who don't use the track 95% of the time !! 😁
I think you can add heated grips... well there's a pit lane button instead😅 but yea that's my point, even the M1000RR has cruise control and that's a "race" bike.
exactly! So, what is preventing Ducati from adding a cruise control and a gas gauge? My only other thought is that adding such things would bring their prices on there bikes much higher than they are now; even though the M1000RR have such things and are cheaper to purchase !!@@oneonlyxram
just buy an aftermarket throttle lock lmfao
@@enderzebak2863 nah, don't do cheap things to expensive bikes.
@@oneonlyxram Get out of here with all that cruise control garbage old man
I heard from a lot of Ducati v4 owners and ib650 one of them that maintenance is not expensive and people tend to exaggerate the prices without knowing exactly how much it cost, since you have the sexiest V4 on sale can you give us an estimate ?! Also a lot of ppl don’t know that the maintenance interval now is 15000km which i think justifies the price (if) it is as expensive as they say.
A $500 oil change at the dealership is a little pricey, clutch pack is 6k (i believe) and being a dry clutch it'll wear quicker. If you run that shell oil with the exhaust and tune, you have a 600 mile oil change interval!
@@oneonlyxram GOD DAAAMN, 600miles intervals 🫨🫨and 6k for clutches 🫠🫠🫠 now i know why ppl say buy a Japanese bike, actually hearing this make me certain that my decision so far to buy the Fireblade 2024 very wise.
@TIMHARTTT The cbr is a fantastic bike for sure. I'm sorry I was wrong a clutch swap is 3k if you want a dry clutch. I'm not sure how much one is to replace after wear.
😭😭😭 what happened ??
Don't fret, it is fixed 😉
Wait until you feel the dark side LITERALLY, aka the engine heat 🤣🔥🔥🔥
🤣 this is less hot than the 1199 and 1299 actually.
That is the best object ever made.
What is your height and weight? Surprised you think it's comfortable.
6'0 225. I do, and it's a relative right. A streetfighter will be more comfortable than this and a multi strada will be more comfortable than both. So context matters, to me it is a more comfortable sportbike, than the Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory.
@@oneonlyxram Thank You! Will you race your V4R?
@drsrsv8884 race in a sanctioned manner? No. But it is out on track and I'll do training on it with pro racers to get better though.
@@oneonlyxram You should race it someday, it's the most competitive bike. I'm going to buy one, to race it. I might wait for the next version of the V4R, since it might have a seamless transmission.
@drsrsv8884 it's not the bike it's me. I enjoy learning and track days but I don't really have a desire to race competitively.
Lucky man, a V4R is a dream machine!❤
No no no clue 😢
😂😆
Is it good for everyday street driving i live in india I want to buy this bike or is it only made for track
You can daily ride anything, that being said it will be very hot in India and rather uncomfortable. So really it comes down to what you want.
And u forgot about the colour of the tank... the V4s came all in red colour
😂
That’s pretty much the same on most bikes
I hate is dat tank color Red white or black I wud hv prefer but seriously not silver lookin ting
Interesting, most love the brushed aluminum
@@oneonlyxram sir I m sry bcz I dnt hv 1 of des ..... but I hv money to buy but in Indian roads it's a waste investment ...
Are european bikes reliable compared to Japanese? They have character but the market needs reliability.
Because the market needs reliability, euro bikes have all become much more reliable. I've owned Ducati's for over a decade, zero issues. No issues with Aprilia either. MV did an overhaul on their operations so they should be better but I have only experienced lag time in getting parts.
😎
Its ALL sexy fool
I have a v4r. Was thinking about getting a rush. How do they compare?
They don't compare, other than having 2 wheels😆 power delivery is different, riding characteristics are different, positions are different. Both are unique
@oneonlyxram I came across a rush that's for sale. I've seen mostly bad reviews about it. It definitely looks amazing. I only have my v4r at the moment.
@shawncarr8035 bad? Really isn't a bad bike, it isn't the best to live with if it is your only bike. As the seat is hard and it is an aggressive seating position. But it's fantastic to ride.
@@shawncarr8035 I have a review of it on my channel!
@@oneonlyxramIf you had to own one. Which one would you pick?
Front reflector has to go
Meh, low on my priority, but they do look better without them
If im not wrong i think the v4r has carbon wings while the v4s has plastic btw how much does the v4r cost if you have the dry clutch cover carbon tank cover and with the full acropavic titanium exhaust cost?
No clue how much those parts are other than the 8k akra exhaust
Who rides these bikes with the engine at 3000 rpm?!?!? you lost all credibility with that admission. These are meant to be kept ABOVE 5000 RPM at all times and shift at or above 7000 RPM at all times. Then the engine performs as the engineers designed it. They did not make it to lug at 3000 rpm. Go review a Honda Civic, that is more your speed and style.
😆 the fact that you don't realize normal riding conditions dictate rev range. Tells me you have zero concept of realistic riding. But hey, believe what you wish.
@@oneonlyxram I own 2 Ducatis and have no issues keeping the rpms above 5000 at all times. The engine performs so much better than you lugging it at 3000 rpm The only time I'm ever below 4500 rpm is when leaving a stop in 1st gear. After that, it's always above 5000 rpm. That is real life. You need a lesson in how to ride high performance bikes.
@briangc1972 😆 Oh, then you're an expert... I'll just ignore the pro riders and coaches that I train with....3000rpm isn't "lugging" them, maybe in 5th or 6th at 35mph. But I'm not referring to that. You probably knew that already, though, and just chose to try to discredit a random person on UA-cam....🤣
@@briangc1972 leaving a stop at 4500??? 😅 riiighhttt OK there launch mode Magee
@briangc1972 and lastly my comment in the video was that the mv didn't like the 3000rpm rev range. Doesn't mean I was advocating for that just pointing it out to the who have zero experience with a bike like this...
That's the only reason why I bought Panigale
It is a good reason😲
@@oneonlyxram 5 years later and I'm still sure about it! 😁
@bensahar215 that's what is about buddy! Big reason I went back to panigale after having other brands and styles. I just love them.
@@oneonlyxram yup! All superbike class are beautiful bikes but Panigale is just one step above them all.
Until I saw a comment stating engine displacement I thought “thats why in gta 5 the bati801 and bati 801rr have the same stats”
😆
I wish (cuz i dont have one but i want one so bad)
In time! You'll get one!
I hope so
Yes.... yes it does ❤
Perfect!
9k??? To repair what?
Front wheel and rotor, left rear set, both mirrors and windscreen, winglet, front fairing, rear cowling, lower fairing, radiator protector
@@oneonlyxram damn!
Geez. Hefty bill 😢 Glad it’s back up and running
@@godspeedrr5790 yea that's what insurance is for so it's all good
It’s B.S. that these dealership owners get first dibs on the ultra rare stuff. No one even gets the chance:/
Yea they get them and some try to flip at a higher price which is pretty garbage to do.
😊 'promosm'
On the issue you have with the dry clutch. I have a V4sp with the dry clutch. I can feather mine enough to take off with zero throttle input. That being said, I believe it's a difference in rotating mass on the v4r that makes you stall it more easily. Food for thought
Maybe, but the motor and tuning is different between the v4r and v4sp.
New Ducati vs 90s - big difference in ease of riding off line or in traffic, you’d have to agree, right?
@@alexanderpatterson6316 I would agree yes, newer bikes are far easier and less finicky to ride than 90s.
